Reality and myths reinforce each other as the title suggests and you are left feeling the vulnerability of humanity.

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown

Reader comments from The People’s Book Prize

As enchanting as Alexander McCall Smith … challenging and satisfying.

Peter Finch on Amazon

I love this book like I love Arundhati Roy’s The God of Small Things. … The Ghosts of Eden has made me smile, cry, question life and made me wish to be more than I am. It is a book to keep and re-read someday. I want to feel like that again. Do not dismiss this book because it’s not your usual read, because it’s not your usual author… it’s better.

T. D. Bradshaw

This deeply moving book will leave you thoughtful for long after you have read it.
